Steam's 100 most-played games right now, as one neon arcade. Each game gets one cabinet; the cabinet type follows the game's genre on Steam. The queue in front of it grows and shrinks with the game's concurrent players, and people walk in and out as the numbers change.
The crowd is scaled, not counted: on-screen people grow with the 0.7 power of the player count, so the biggest games still look biggest without filling the hall. The people are anonymous illustrations. Steam counts are worldwide and say nothing about where anyone is playing.
Machines under a cover cloth are games that dropped out of the top 100 in the shown period; a NEW tag marks a game that has just entered. The little globe in the corner only shows where it is day and night at the time shown; it says nothing about where players are.
Concurrent player counts from Steam, sampled every hour. Hourly history before 2026-10-02 via SteamCharts (steamcharts.com). Before that date a few games have no hourly history (Deadlock among them), so totals then are somewhat low; a game that was in the top 100 earlier in the month but has since fallen out of SteamCharts' top 250 may be missing. Game names belong to their owners; no game artwork is used. The globe's coastlines are from Natural Earth (public domain).
Data is provided as is, without warranty of any kind; counts may be delayed or incomplete. For illustration only. Not affiliated with or endorsed by Valve or any game publisher.
